What is the best process to follow for simple 'Time Tracking' billings?

This article illustrates the best process to follow for zero fee billing (or Time Tracking/uncharged Billings).

Navigate to AdvologixPM

Go to Rate Table

Go to Rate Table

Add a New Rate

Add a New Rate

Tracking Time (Unbilled):

  1. Set up another rate (optional) as "Time Tracking" charged per hour and set rate amount to $0
  2. As you work the matter, you can optionally add new Billing records to keep track of time spent on the matter.
  3. Click Save

Go to Matters Tab

Go to Matters TAB

Select a Matter to Apply the Flat Fee

Select a Matter to add 'Flat Fee' Bill to

Create a New Billing

Create a New Billing from the Matter

Setup the Billing Form

Setup Billing Form

Create a billing record, set hours to actual duration of time spent, set rate type to rate table, select Time Tracking rate and set the Invoice As "Do Not Bill"

  1. Choose 'Rate Table' from the Rate Type drop down (wait while available Rate Tables load)
  2. Select the Rate table item for Time Tracking desired (for ex. Time Tracking)
  3. Set Hours to 'actual duration of time spent'
  4. Add a Description as 'Time Tracked / Do Not Bill'
  5. Select Finish

Select More - if you wish to add further details (See: Bill Edit Form )
