Apply a Best Practices Template

Best Practices Templates allow you to create a repeatable series of tasks and events that you can apply to Matters to automatically schedule a process or plan.  These are useful for internal office processes, official court rules of procedure, project plans, etc.

LISTS OF TASKS SECTION

  1. Days - Choose a date for the Key Activity.
  2. Start Time/Duration - For Events, set the time the Event will start and how long it will last.
  3. Adjust Non-Working Days* 
    • Move Related Activities If Key Date Changes*
    • Reminder - Select if you would like a reminder set for all Tasks and/or Events.
    • Skip Holidays 
      • If selected, holidays and weekends will NOT be included in the total of days counted from one activity to another.  
      • If NOT selected, holidays and weekends WILL be included in the total of days counted from one activity to another.  In addition, activity due dates CAN land on a holiday or weekend day. 
  4. Select Apply Template.

*These phrases are defined here.

IMPORTANT NOTE 

Non-Working Days are (1) weekends and (2) specific holidays that are identified in your organization's business calendar.
